We have a 4th room in our house we're looking to rent, ideally to a postdoc or PhD student in need. We're in East palo alto right near the ikea. Nice modern home with modern appliances, free laundry on-site, free parking on-site, only 10 min drive to campus or 15-20 by bike. Bus routes also available. Our 4th roommate will move in with his partner May 31 so we're looking to start renting the room June 1 2025. Ideally we are looking for people who can stay for 6-12+ months, but may be open to shorter stays if necessary.
The main house is 3 bedrooms 2 bathrooms, and I live in an ADU studio in the back with its own bedroom and bathroom. We have a nice full kitchen, living room, dining room, laundry room, and a large backyard with nice patio furniture. We're all fun easy going Stanford postdocs. One is Psychiatry, one in genetics, one in chemical systems biology. We're all great friends and have rented this spare room a few times now to temporary students / visiting scholars who come and go and are in need. We are happy to help and to take in a new 4th member to our house. Please message if interested to come see the place.
The rent is 1250$ + utilities (~200$ monthly). The room can be furnished or unfurnished. If you'd like the furniture then it comes with a bed, dresser, TV, side table/desk, couch, fan, heater, lamp, large closet. If you don't want these items they can be stored or sold etc.
