REAL ESTATE PRIVATE EQUITY
DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT – SILICON VALLEY
THE POSITION
As part of the continued expansion of our real estate private placement capabilities we are seeking to recruit a Director of Business Development to oversee marketing and business development in the Silicon Valley area. This is a unique opportunity to join an established real estate private equity firm with the potential equity participation. The Director of Business Development will participate with the current owner/principles in all aspects of our deal origination and marketing process including deal identification, contract negotiation, due diligence and review, investment product branding, marketing plan development and direct marketing to high net worth investors and investment advisors. High integrity and a strong ability to build long term relationships with sophisticated high net worth investors is a must.
QUALIFICATIONS
A successful candidate should have the following qualifications preferably in the financial services sector:
• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in business development and marketing in the financial services sector.
• Developed personal relationships with high net worth investors and investment advisors in the Silicon Valley area.
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience in a collaborative, team-based, results-oriented environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work with a broad base of sophisticated clients.
• Established alternative investment/real estate industry relationships and network to gain access to deal flow a plus.
• High integrity, strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Independence of thought, intellectual curiosity, and an entrepreneurial nature.
• Ability to obtain a Series 7 or SIE, Series 22 and 63 securities licenses.
• Strong academic credentials, MBA/CFA or CFP a plus.
