Looking for a roommate to move in and share a 2 bedroom, 1 bath in downtown Menlo Park. Room available from July 2, 2025. The room is generally unfurnished but we will give preferences to candidates willing to purchase the existing furniture. The furniture is in excellent conditions, price and photos can be provided upon interest. The bedroom is approximately 10 ft x 13 ft, has a build-in closet and a large window. The apartment is on the second floor and has a large patio accessible from this bedroom, with outdoor chairs/table. Laundry is downstairs (brand new machines) and is free to use. The apartment is located 2 blocks from Draeger's, Trader Joe's, CVS, Safeway and downtown Menlo Park.
It is a 10 minute walk to the Menlo Park Caltrain Station, 5 min to Safeway. No car needed! Everything is at walking distance. It's a 15 min bike ride to Stanford campus. Wonderful neighbors, unique neighborhood!
We are looking for someone who can sign a 1yr lease. $1,600. Utilities cost $75-100/person each month (more during the winter when we use the heater).
The other roommate is a German postdoc at Stanford, working in chemical engineering. Her research interests include catalyst research and operando investigations in electrocatalysis and photoelectrochemistry. She spends most of her days during the week in the lab and prefers quit evenings to relax afterwards. On the weekends, though, she loves to go out for a run or a trip whenever possible, enjoying the beautiful Californian nature. She also loves diving, reading, cooking, and all kinds of outdoor activities and adventures, and is always looking for a hiking buddy.
No pets, no drugs, no smoke, no live-in partners please. Feel free to reach out if you would like more info / a video tour.
Cheers, Maria and Judith
