I'm a postdoc in physics here at Stanford. More importantly, I’m an amateur powerlifter and strongman. I've been powerlifting two years, doing strongman for one, and strength training on and off since high school. As such, I am able to instruct you on how to do any lift you are interested in doing, and helping you to get strong. I’ve helped out friends and family with designing detailed programs that they follow weekly, and have tweaked over time.

I’ve also helped friends in individual sessions and taught them how to lift many times. I can provide references if needed. You can find me on open powerlifting, though my most recent competition is a while ago now (I was injured and am just now back at full strength).

The most important qualification I have, I believe, is simply that I’m obsessed with strength and fitness. I want to help you get *strong*.

My training philosophy is modeled after my own experiences with lifting. I believe that training fundamental movement patterns, e.g. squat, deadlift, and overhead press, are essential to a strong, healthy, and long life. I believe that strength is for everyone, not just fanatics. Being strong boosts your confidence, and it makes you feel better.

I'm offering services starting at $35 per session. I'll meet you at one of the on campus gyms.
