Want access to yard space in a quiet neighborhood while still being close to Stanford & California Avenue? I have a room available starting June 17 in a 3 bedroom/1 bath house in College Terrace, near the intersection of Stanford Ave & Cornell St … almost across the road from the Escondido Village graduate residences
About the room & house
Available starting mid-September
The small house is simple, but it has hardwood floors and a patio under a redwood tree.
Amenities: washer & dryer
Missing amenities: no dishwasher, no shared TV, currently no AC, so it can get warm in the house, but it usually cools off in the evening. If you are staying long term, we can strategize about installing AC.
Room size is 11.5 ft x 9.7 ft'. It faces south, so it gets some good light. It is currently UNFURNISHED. It has about 6 ft of closet space, plus there is space in other parts of the house for storage.
There’s one bathroom, which you share with me and my daughter, who is over half the week.

About your housemates
You'd be living with me, a male in his early 50s, along with my 11 year-old daughter, who is with me 3-4 afternoons & nights per week.
Lifestyle-wise, we are fairly quiet for a household with children, but there will be very occasional noise from kids playing. We get going around 6:30-7 in the morning (as early as 6 on days I exercise), she goes to sleep around 9, and I go to sleep around 10:30.
I work from home, so I’m around most of the day. When I go out, it’s to go for a bike ride, for a hike, or to do something with my daughter.
Rent for one person would be $1250 (less than ⅓ of the rent I pay) plus ⅓ of utilities, which will come out to be $75-$120, depending on the season and energy prices
