Lead Campus Ambassador – Meli (U.S. Program Lead)
Meli Description
Meli is the private social media app that lets families and close friends create shared timelines with absolute privacy, stay connected across generations, and share meaningful moments— without public profiles or social media noise. Our mission is to capture and celebrate the little and big moments that shape who you are.
Role Description
We’re looking for a Lead Campus Ambassador to spearhead our U.S. campus program. This role is central to helping Meli grow among undergraduates by building authentic communities, driving engagement, and shaping how students use Meli to capture and share their college experiences. This person will help build and manage a team of student ambassadors, design and execute engagement campaigns, and partner with student organizations to drive meaningful usage on campus. This is a highly visible leadership role with direct reporting to Meli’s CEO and regular interaction with the founding team.
Key Responsibilities
• Help recruit and onboard campus ambassadors across multiple universities.
• Execute on a go-to-market plan for U.S. campuses, including a campaign calendar.
• Track KPIs and submit regular reports (minimum 2 check-ins per week with CEO).
• Build partnerships with student organizations and coordinate competitions, sponsorships, and events that drive engagement.
• Manage communication across the ambassador network, ensuring smooth information flow, consistent messaging, and team alignment. This may include running a Discord or Slack community and 1:1 checkins with other ambassadors
What We’re Looking For
• Current undergraduate with strong campus presence and student org involvement (leadership experience preferred).
• Proven ability in event planning, ambassador/rep programs, or student leadership roles.
• Excellent communicator — comfortable presenting, hosting, and motivating peers.
• Strong organizer with project management skills; can balance multiple initiatives at once.
• Entrepreneurial, independent, and excited to work closely with executive leadership.
• Passionate about building community and tuned in to student culture and social trends.
Compensation & Benefits
• Monthly Stipend: Up to $1,500 (mix of base + performance incentives tied to growth).
• Equity: Ownership in a growing startup.
• Mentorship: Direct development and coaching from Meli’s CEO (2x founder, ex-McKinsey).
• Career Opportunity: Potential path to a full-time role after graduation.
• Visibility: High-impact role with direct influence on company strategy and growth.
Why this role matters
You won’t just represent Meli — you’ll help shape how a new social app is discovered, shared, and loved by students across the U.S.
