Hey Neighbor,
I'm a Stanford admin seeking a change of scenery this January. Looking to live with other working professionals, broadly defined, so feel free to share this with your non-Stanford friends as well!
About Me:
- 33M
- Four years at Stanford
- Active lifestyle: triathlon, climbing, travel
- Grillmeister: you'll get to sample my friend-famous BBQ
- Social introvert: enjoys hanging out, but loves coming back to a peaceful home or just staying in sometimes
- Chill with guests, not looking for wild parties. I have friends over occasionally and might host a dinner or brunch from time to time, but I'll let you know in advance if there's a group coming. Asking the same in return.
- Degrees from peer-level institutions, for what it's worth
- Allergic to cats
About You:
- Stanford staff/fellows/postdocs/faculty preferred but not required
- Enjoyable to be around: not expecting that we'll necessarily be best friends, but let's at least say hi to each other :)
- Communicative: better to speak up early on than let pet peeves escalate
- Clean & respectful of shared spaces
- Not offended by the smell of delicious meat cooking
- Maybe bringing a dog or two?
Ideal Housing:
- Within a 30-minute bike ride to campus
- House > apartment, but more importantly, storage and outdoor space for a grill, bikes, etc.
- Separate bathrooms, if possible
- 2-6 of us living together
- Lots of kitchen space
- <$1,500/mo each
If you think we might be a good housing fit, let's connect! I'd like to start looking for options this fall, then move Jan. 1-17.
