- The cost of the room is only $1100 per month including utilities (except for Wifi). All the housemates split the Wifi cost, and it usually comes out to $7-$12 per month. We also split the cost of cleaning supplies, which usually comes out to ~$6/month.
- It is located at 233 Embarcadero Rd, about a 10 minute bike ride from campus. It’s close enough that some of my friends have walked from campus to the house, but I would recommend owning a bike/car if you live here.
- The house is a 16-person property. All of the housemates are academics, and 14 of them are Stanford affiliates. The majority of the housemates are from other countries because the landlord tries to maintain a community of international scholars. The landlord also tries to maintain a 50:50 gender ratio.
- You would have a private bedroom and a shared bathroom. There’s a communal bathroom on each floor of the house, and several people have their own bathroom. Since there are several communal bathrooms in the house, I’ve never had to wait to use a bathroom.
- This house has an incredible community of individuals. We have game nights, BBQs, and outings together. I will likely continue to be involved in some community events after I move out.
- There is a preference for individuals who can move in some time between November 8 - November 15. You can stay for as long as you’d like.
- The room comes with a bed, a desk, a dresser, a closet, and a bayview window overlooking the yard.
- You can reply to this post, indicate when you would like to move in, and I can connect you with the landlord
