I love working with young people, drawing the best out of them by encouraging them to be specific and know their passions while offering constructive criticism in a positive manner.

I have worked for decades with diverse students in educational settings and am familiar with a wide range of academic institutions across the country. Finding the right fit is the most important part of the college application process.

I hold a BA in Anthropology from Stanford and MA in Higher Education from Columbia (and MFA in fiction from the Warren Wilson program). My experiences include working as an ESL teacher, academic editor, essay and personal statement consultant, TA consultant at UCSD, and English composition professor at Menlo College. I have been a volunteer interviewer for prospective Stanford students (and Stanford had wanted me to be an admissions reader.) I was also a volunteer at a teen center in Ann Arbor, MI for a fiction writing class.
