Still subletting my beautiful room on the 6th floor of Blackwelder high-rise, whilst I am in England for Christmas. Available 10th-31st December, also happy to hear from people who only want it for some of that time.

This is a 2B1B apartment, meaning that you have your own bedroom. Technically, you'd share the rest of the apartment (i.e. kitchen and bathroom) with a calm, quiet, and clean female PhD student, but she is actually also away most of winter break so you'll pretty much have the place to yourself!

You will pay the rates specified on the website (linked here: https://rde.stanford.edu/studenthousing/escondido-village-highrise-apartments), pro rata. To clarify, I won't be making a profit from you! The monthly fee is $1165, so for the 22 nights, I would expect it to be around $845. This is an extremely good deal for Stanford and the Bay Area and you will be lucky to find anything similar for this price, especially as the high-rises are the cheapest graduate student accommodation on campus. The website explains the details, but note that this rate includes utilities like WiFi, water, heating etc. The cheap price is because the apartment has no shared living area with a sofa etc. The building was actually renovated in 2023 so all furniture and fittings, including the spacious shower, are very new and shiny!

This will be a formal sublet through R&DE, so please note that you must meet their eligibility requirements to be considered. You can read details here: https://rde.stanford.edu/studenthousing/sublicense. The main important things are to be directly affiliated with Stanford and ideally to be a female student. No minors. Pets and indoor smoking are not permitted.

The room is beautifully decorated and you're free to use my kitchen equipment (pots, pans, crockery and cutlery etc.). If you are interested, feel free to email me via the website to discuss any possible flexibility with the guidelines outlined in this post.
