We bought this foldable electric bike new on Amazon in 2023 for $425 and assembled it ourselves. It had been in use since Nov 2023. One full charge easily covers four round trips between Escondido Village and the School of Engineering.
It also handles the uphill ride to SLAC National Lab fine, one charge is enough for more than one trip from Escondido Village to SLAC (and then back downhill).
Now that I’m working full-time and can take the work shuttle, I only use it about three times a week.
If you’d like to buy it, it comes with the charger, and the front and bike lights (very bright). You’ll need your own helmet, lock (and phone mount).
