The Jackson Lab is looking to measure old wall heaters around campus to better understand their health impacts. These usually have a small pilot light on the bottom if it is regularly used. However, even if a new heat system is installed and you don't use the wall heater, we can relight the pilot and measure. We're looking to measure as early as next week and will compensate with a $100 gift card. Our team will bring a suite of instruments to measure benzene, NOx, CO/CO2, and methane. The measurement will take a minimum of 4 hours. If you have any questions, please respond here or email samead@stanford.edu.
