Hi all! I’m looking for someone to take over my lease in Menlo Park, about 5 miles from Stanford’s campus. Rent is $1550/month, plus about $80/month in utilities and internet. We have a driveway for parking, and there is additional (free!) street parking if you are having friends over. The house is in a peaceful residential neighborhood in North Fair Oaks, between Menlo Park and Atherton. The lease is until July 2027, so this is a great option for any PhD or Master’s student in the area. 7 months stay minimum, however longer-term renters of 1 year and 7 months are preferred. The preferred move-in date is early January.
The bedroom will come furnished with a lamp, desk, bed frame, and box spring! All you will need to bring for yourself is a mattress; however, I can help with the mattress if need be :) The room has a built-in blackout curtain, great sunlight (when the curtain is up), a lovely sliding mirror closet, and built-in shelves and drawer organizers in the closet. You’ll share a bathroom with one roommate, who is very clean and courteous.
As for the house itself, we have a washer and dryer, dishwasher, spacious garage for storing bikes, sports gear, and other personal storage, and a lovely backyard patio with a table and lighting for any late-night kickbacks. We also have 2 and a half fridges (the half is a mini fridge), so you don’t have to worry about fighting over fridge space!
Our place has a respectful, enriching, and comfortable atmosphere and we are looking for a roommate with a similar outlook. All roommates are professionals in their 20s with unique interests. We enjoy the outdoors, hanging out, and watching the occasional hockey game or Great British Bake-Off. Everyone is encouraged to hang out whenever they want, but is more than welcome to just relax in their own space at any time.
Location: 15-20 minute drive to Stanford, 7-minute drive to Meta/Facebook, 5-minute drive to the 101, 40 minute drive to SF. 25 minute bike ride to Stanford campus, 10 minute bike ride to Menlo Park Caltrain and downtown Menlo Park!
