I’m a Grade 12 student in Canada preparing for the Canadian pathway toward the International Olympiad on Astronomy and Astrophysics (IOAA). I’m looking for an experienced tutor (ideally a Stanford undergrad/grad, alum, or former IOAA/astronomy olympiad competitor) to coach me remotely.
What I’m looking for
Strong background in astronomy/astrophysics + contest-style problem solving
Familiarity with IOAA-style components: theory, data analysis, and observational/planetarium
Ability to create a structured plan with weekly problem sets, feedback, and mock exams
Long-term mentorship is preferred (not just a few sessions)
Logistics
Format: Remote (Zoom/Google Meet), 1:1
Schedule: Flexible across North American time zones
Compensation: Negotiable, paid (please share your rate and experience)

If you’ve done IOAA (or similar), I’d love to learn what actually moved the needle for you. Even if you’re too busy to tutor, I’m happy to do a short cafe chat and I can treat you to a virtual bubble tea.
