One of our housemates is relocating in February 2026, and we’re looking for someone to take over her medium-sized room and join our shared home.
About the House
We live in a comfortable, well-loved home in San Carlos, in a safe and quiet neighborhood with lots to do nearby. Restaurants, cafés, and bars are all within walking distance, and the San Carlos Caltrain station is just a 5-minute walk away. It’s about 20 minutes to Stanford and 30 minutes to San Francisco, which makes commuting very convenient.
The house itself is a 2-story furnished home with:
A bright living room with a fireplace
A balcony and an outdoor deck with a barbecue
Three bathrooms (two recently renovated)
A dedicated office space for working from home
In-unit washer and dryer
The kitchen is fully equipped and very much a shared space: multiple refrigerators, dishwasher, microwave, gas stove/oven, air fryer, espresso machine, KitchenAid mixer, pressure cooker, cookware, and plenty of storage.
There’s also a garage used as shared space for bike storage, hobbies, and small projects, with tools available. Street parking is available.
The Bedroom
Approximately 14 m² / 140 sq ft
Unfurnished (some furniture may be negotiable with the current roommate)
Closet and window included
About the Household
We’re a group of professionals working in academia and industry who enjoy living in a friendly, respectful, and easygoing household. We like to keep common spaces comfortable and welcoming, and we occasionally enjoy cooking or spending time together while still respecting everyone’s routines and privacy.
We also welcomed a corgi puppy in September 2025. She’s very friendly, loves people, and enjoys cuddles. She does not go upstairs where the bedrooms and bathrooms are.
Lease Details
Rent: $1,510/month
Utilities: approx. $100/month per person
Deposit: $500
Lease length: Flexible (minimum 1 month)
Smoking: Not permitted indoors
