Hi Stanford community,
We’re a Stanford family living in EV South and are looking for a Stanford student who enjoys working with young children and can teach beginner-level piano.
We have two young boys (ages 3 and 5), and we’re hoping to introduce our 5-year-old to piano in a fun, encouraging, low-pressure way. This would be very beginner-level — learning basic notes, rhythm, simple songs, and building positive associations with music.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with kids (babysitting, tutoring, teaching, camps, etc.)
- Has piano experience and can teach beginner fundamentals; music degree not required
- Is patient, warm, and playful
- Can teach on campus
Ideal schedule would be 1 short lesson per week (flexible on timing), beginning in March. Open to discussing compensation based on experience.
If this sounds like you (or someone you’d recommend), please send a short message via email with your experience and availability.
Thank you!
Best,
Megan
