<p>The Stanford German Student Association (SGSA) presents this academic year's second Kamingespräch (fire place round table discussion) featuring<h3>Dr. Josef Joffe</h3>The series of Kamingespräche presents influential figures from the political, academic and economic spheres to discuss questions of general interest in an intimate setting.</p><p>This Kamingespräch will take place on Tuesday, November 28th 2006, from 6 to 7 PM in the Bogota Meeting Room at the Graduate Community Center, 750 Escondido Road, Stanford (<a href="<a href="http://www.google.com/maphp?hl=en&">http://www.google.com/maphp?hl=en&</a>;tab=wl&q=750%20escondido%20road%2C%20stanford%2C%20ca%2094305">link to map</a>). We also encourage you to mention topics or questions that you would like to discuss with Dr. Joffe.</p><p><i>Dr. Josef Joffe is publisher-editor of the German weekly "Die Zeit". He is <a href="<a href="http://www.hoover.org/bios/joffe"">http://www.hoover.org/bios/joffe"</a>;>fellow of the Hoover Institution</a> and of the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies as well as adjunct professor of political science at Stanford. He holds a Ph.D. degree in government from Harvard University and has recently published a new book "Überpower: The Imperial Temptation of America". Topics to discuss with Dr. Joffe may range from US foreign policy, German-American relations and the global security situation to higher education systems in the US and Germany.</i></p><BR/>
