Reproductive senescence is a defining life history characteristic of all mammals. Research now highlights important aspects of male reproductive senescence. This research suggests that human males exhibit potentially adaptive shifts in reproductive function in association with age.
Richard Bribiescas is an Associate Professor of Anthropology and Director of the Reproductive Ecology Laboratory at Yale University. His primary interests are in human evolutionary physiology. His most notable work is on male reproductive ecology, specifically the role of testosterone and other hormones in regulating life history trade-offs.
