Over the last two decades, there has been an increased interest in the identity development of biracial individuals. At colleges and universities, the needs of biracial students are often overlooked and assumed under support and services offered to students of color. This presentation will address the unique racial identity challenges faced by biracial college students and will introduce contemporary identity development models, while seeking to share some recommendations for working with this student population.
