Participants Needed for PAID ($200) Stanford Study

The CAAN lab at Stanford University is conducting a study in the Psychology Department on thinking and emotion. We are looking for right-handed adults age 21-55 with no history of any clinical psychiatric/psychological disorders to participate for payment in our study.



We are looking for these demographics, specifically:





Latino man, 39-43 years, masters or doctorate degree



Caucasian man, 37-41 years, high school diploma through masters degree



Caucasian man, 41-45 years, bachelors through doctorate



Caucasian man, 43-47 years, bachelors through doctorate







Asian man, 39-43 years, bachelors through doctorate



African American man, 41-45 years, high school diploma through masters



Pacific Islander woman, 21-23 years, high school diploma through masters



Caucasian woman, 30-34 years, bachelors through doctorate



Caucasian woman, 30-34 years, high school diploma through masters



Caucasian woman, 44-48 years, high school diploma through masters



An eligible participant will engage in 3 components: 1. diagnostic interview and questionnaires, 2. behavioral session consisting of computer tasks, speech, and short interview, and 3. brain imaging session using non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to visualize brain activity while doing a variety of engaging tasks. For MRI eligibility, you must not have any metal embedded in your body, not be taking any medications that affect blood flow or thinking/emotion, and not have claustrophobia. Participants must be US citizens or green card holders, and must be fluent in English.
