KMTP-TV Pan-African Channel
Production Intern
Palo Alto, CA (5 miles from Stanford University)
KMTP-TV, a non-profit public TV station in Palo Alto, is looking for interns to help launch a Pan-African & International channel, creating a
nightly news program as well as features on the African-related culture/people/stories/activist/art/politics community in the Bay Area.
About us:
KMTP-TV Ch32 is the smallest and youngest public television station in Bay Area, and has been dedicated to addressing socially conscious issues for the past decade. Its mission is multicultural diversity, bringing significant programming to underrepresented groups in the San Francisco Bay Area. The station's signal is carried by substantially all the cable television systems in the San Francisco Bay Area representing approximately 1.7 million cable and satellite households. We currently produce a nightly news show focused on African news on Channel 32 Analog, and are launching a pan-African channel on Channel 33.1 Digital, that is broadcast all across the Bay Area.
Position: Intern will work directly with the Channel's two associate producers, as an integral part of our team. You will help us video edit, research, schedule, and market for a African & International show, including news, features, interviews, and coverage of local events.
