We are looking for the one (!) web development lead to help us design and implement the most crucial aspect, the user interface. The emphasis will be on creating a smooth user experience through intuitive design and novel HCI techniques. Since we are an early stage startup, you will have a lot of freedom as well as responsibilities in the design of the entire system.
ResTaste builds relationships between restaurants and diners, creating better dining experience for consumers while generating revenues for restaurants (over $400M market opportunity). ResTaste offers an innovative social platform that drive insights from prior interactions. Our solution is based on groundbreaking collaborative-filtering technology wrapped around social networking aspects.
Our team includes four passionate Stanford grads (CS, EE, and MBAs) with vast experience, contacts and knowledge in the internet space. Our dream candidate is smart, knows how to party and can work hard and deliver incredible results. We are looking for someone with:
- BS/MS in computer science degree (specialization in UI)
- Java/J2EE, JSP, MySQL, JBoss
- AJAX/HTML/CSS experience and an interest in user interface design
- Object-oriented JavaScript skills
- Knowledge of UI frameworks and experience with Photoshop (or similar)
- Experience working on cross-browser platforms
- A willingness to challenge conventions and suggest better ways of doing things
- A commitment to contribute at least 10-15 hours a week to our project
- Passion to change the world
Bonuses:
- Knowledge of iPhone/Social apps development will be a plus (Objective C, FBML)
As a key member in the founding team you will have a lot of room to influence, design, and create.
