Are you a grad student who has sung in an a cappella group or would like to sing in one? Do you find yourself singing along to songs on the radio and missing singing (or beatboxing) with other people? Do you find the existing groups on campus too much of a time commitment to fit in between your research (or research procrastination), or just find the members too "undergrad-y"?
I sang in several a cappella groups in undergrad and even during the time between schools, but I haven't had a chance to sing good a cappella in years. After a few years of getting used to research, I'm itching to ditch the instruments in the groups I have been singing in. I'm sure there are others in the same boat.
I'm putting out this post to see if there are others interested in starting a new a cappella group at Stanford for grad students. It would not be restricted to people in any particular school or graduate program, but definitely to fit into the busy grad student lifestyle. It would be great if we could get a core group of people to organize a new group! I have arrangements from my past groups and have tried a few arrangements myself, so it would be a good starting place.
