Web Publications Designer and Manager

The web publications designer and manager is responsible for working with Construction Engineering and Management staff and faculty in the design and production of “http://cem.stanford.edu/programs/construction/index.html “ and for oversight of this web space with a primary focus on the “home”, “what we do”, “industry relationships”, and “construction association” webpages.
This position will have 2 primary areas of responsibility:
• Visual Design and Production
• Web Administration and Development
This is an hourly position starting May 1, 2011 and continuing as long as employee interest and program needs remain. First and second year undergrads are encouraged to apply for continual employment throughout their undergraduate career.
Key qualifications include:
• 1+ years of experience in web graphic design and production
• Demonstrated experience maintaining complex web sites using graphics, audio and video resources; experience administering Drupal sites a plus.
• Excellent visual communication skills, reflecting strong design layout principles and strong use of typography.
• Proficiency in CSS and Adobe Creative Suite applications (primarily InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Dreamweaver).
• Ability to collaborate and function effectively with staff and faculty in the Construction Engineering and Management program
