I am a mother of three children (five year old twins and a 15 month old baby) looking for household help from Aug 1-19, with possible extension to Sept 2.

I recently broke my foot, and am on crutches, no weight allowed on the foot at all for 6-8 weeks. We don’t currently employ any household help, so I am looking for someone to basically replace ME: someone to help with driving, childcare, grocery shopping and housekeeping.

Ideally, the person we employ would meet the following criteria:
* Be available to work 12-7, Monday through Friday at our home in Palo Alto
* Have good English communication skills
* Have a clean driving record, and be able to pick me up from work on the Stanford campus, as well as picking up the children from school and driving us to/from the grocery store.
* Have experience with childcare, and be experienced and comfortable with putting a baby to bed, giving a bath to older children (5 year old twins), entertaining older children, and taking 3 children on outings, for example, walks to the park.
* Be willing to share household cleaning/tidying tasks with me. For example, I can sit on the floor and fold laundry, but I need someone to carry baskets up and down the stairs, load the washer/dryer, and do the reaching and bending necessary to put folded laundry away. Similarly, I can manage to cook dinner, but I need help carrying dishes and setting the table; I can sit on a chair at the sink and do the handwashing, but I need someone to help carry plates from the table and bend and load the dishwasher.
* Be comfortable working with an employer – this would not be a typical nanny/housekeeper situation in which the employers/parents are out of the house all day

We will pay competitive wages, and lunches and dinner with the family are included, if desired.
