Kidizens is an innovative civic and economic enrichment program for Kindergarten through 5th graders in which small classes of kid "citizens" create an enormous metropolis, and in the process, learn about government, geometry, economics, engineering, architecture, the environment, problem solving and much more.
We are looking specifically for a LEGO Robotics teacher for our Palo Alto location, someone with prior experience to teach principles and methods of physics, science and engineering to grades Kindergarten through 5th, utilizing LEGO Mindstorms and other building systems. We are looking for someone who is fun-loving, energetic with kids, with a thorough understanding of basic scientific and engineering principles and a love of problem solving . Prior experience with LEGO Mindstorms is must. Prior exposure/experience in Robotics or Engineering preferred, but not required.
In addition, we are looking for teachers for our Palo Alto location as well as our Belmont location with a flexible schedule to teach both morning home school classes (10:15 to 1:15) and afternoon classes (3:00-6:00) of 2nd -5th graders, as well as "Young Kidizens" classes for children ages 5-7.
