I'm a grad student done with living on-campus and trying to find the right place. Me: at work weekdays, at home and cooking on weeknights, and outside on weekends. I stay active, mostly through running and kitesurfing, and occasionally have friends over for dinner.
I'm looking at a few places that all fit these requirements: less than 4 miles from the Stanford campus, ideally 3; under $1200 per bedroom, and must have a decent kitchen.
You: clean, respectful, looking for a place that's not always library-quiet and not a frat house.
I've had little luck looking for 1 br openings; there are always loads of people competing for that one spot. Seems like going for a 2BR or 3BR gives you more options and less competition.
