I am turning in my dissertation (in Educational Psychology) in a month or so and I need someone to help with a variety of administrative tasks, including:
- checking to see if references in the text are in the list of references
- tracking down a few simple references that need citations (e.g., find sources for claim that depression is common in women)
- ensuring that references are formatted correctly
- formatting tables according to given guidelines
- proofreading for basic grammatical and style issues (e.g. missing or duplicated words, incorrect punctuation)
- formatting the entire document according to Stanford thesis guidelines
- printing and checking the finished documents
I do NOT need in-depth editing or writing help. I imagine that this will be a few hours each week for the next four weeks -- I write about one chapter per week -- and more hours (maybe 10?) in the last week before I turn it in (due date is Nov. 20th). We could meet for the first few weeks and if it works out well, you could do the rest of the work on your own time.
The topic is career development in Stanford undergraduates... so it's actually pretty interesting! :-)
Respond with a short description of your experience with this type of work and the hourly rate you would like.
Thanks!
Lindsay
